'Honors Convocation'

WMU-Cooley student Geofrey Bilabaye was presented with several awards, including the Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award for academic accomplishment, leadership, extracurricular involvement and post-graduate plans. He also was recognized as a member of the Mock Trial Executive Board, Law Review, and the Homeland and National Security Law Review; was honored for his work with the Washtenaw County Public Defenders Clinic; was presented the National Order of Scribes Aristotle Award for displaying the highest level of persuasive oral advocacy; and won a Certificate of Merit in Advocacy. 

On Nov. 16, WMU-Cooley Law School held an Honors Convocation to recognize students for leadership roles, achieving academic excellence and being named to the Dean’s List or Honor Roll.
