Washtenaw County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Connors will be a guest speaker at a Peacemaking Colloquium on August 5-6, via Zoom.
Judge Connors will provide the Welcome and Opening at the Meet and Greet, 4:00-4:05 p.m. (Mountain time) on Wednesday, August 5, that will be followed by a Warrior Lawyers Viewing and Circle Discussion and a 5:30 p.m. closing by Margaret Connors, Esq.
The agenda on August 6 starts at 9 a.m. with a Welcome & Opening Prayer followed by discussions on Purpose and Peacemaking 101; the Keynote Address: “Sacred Justice: A Very Different World View” by Hon. Michael Petoskey (Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa), Chief Judge Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians; and a presentation on Walk and Self Care.
Judge Connors will take part in “Tribal/State Peacemaking: Showcasing Models.”
A working lunch at noon will feature a video, “Healing Through Our Way of Life”
The afternoon agenda includes Trauma Informed Peace Circles; University Partnerships – Tribal, National & International; Walk-Extreme Self Care; Peacemakers: Words of Wisdom from Our National and International Cousins and Relatives.
The Capstone presentation will be “The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be: Re-imagining the Future;” followed by a Closing/Prayer.
