Hospice of Michigan announces New Foundation Board Members

Hospice of Michigan is pleased to welcome four community partners to the Hospice of Michigan Foundation Board of Directors. They will join the 22 current board members supporting the not-for-profit’s mission to deliver the highest quality of care to patients and families across Michigan.

As an Emmy-nominated television reporter with Nexstar Media Group, Inc., Jordan Carson is a co-host for WOOD-TV’s eightWest and director for WOTV4Women’s ‘Live Local Give Local.’ Carson is also a Gracie Allen Award recipient for her documentary, “Dying to Be Thin.” Her interest in philanthropy brings her to the Hospice of Michigan Foundation Board of Directors, where she will pursue her passion for giving back to the community. The Grand Rapids, gan native previously served on the Board of Directors for other local non-profit organizations.

Attorney Ryan Duffy works at Miller Johnson as a member in the firm’s healthcare reimbursement practice group. Prior to practicing law, the Grand Rapids resident served as a pilot and flight instructor for nine years in the United States Navy, earning a Naval Commendation medal for his efforts during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Melissa Jagst, an audit partner at Deloitte, joins the board with more than 26 years of public accounting experience. Jagst has developed extensive knowledge in the health care and not-for-profit industries. Prior to becoming a board member, the Northville, Michigan resident served as Deloitte’s Central Region Women’s Initiative Leader.

David Morrison is Chief Development Officer at The Bradley Company. Morrison has a history of community partnership and has held board member positions at the Detroit Institute of Arts, JCC-Metro Detroit and the David R. and Effi P. Weinberg Foundation. He currently resides in Huntington Woods, Michigan.
