Attorney Marisa Vinsky from Chartier & Nyamfukudza, P.L.C. in Okemos has been named an Up & Coming Lawyer by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.

Vinsky earned her undergrad degree from Central Michigan University, and her JD, summa cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law, where she worked in the Civil Rights Clinic.

Vinsky, who previously worked in the Juvenile Lifer Unit at the State Appellate Defender Office in Detroit, has volunteered at multiple expungement clinics, and now serves as the firm’s lead on expungement cases, with detailed knowledge of the new Clean Slate Act. She was involved in the firm’s last three exonerations of clients who were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned.

A member of the State Bar of Michigan Criminal Law, Animal Law, Marijuana Law, and Prisons/Corrections sections, in 2021 she was named to Women Lawyer Stars, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan—Mid-Michigan Chapter; and to the ‘Top 5 Under 35’ Ingham County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.
