Field-Foster named to Michigan Lawyers Weekly 'Influential Women of Law' Class of 2022

Lansing– Monique Field-Foster, an executive partner with Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been selected to the Michigan Lawyers Weekly “Influential Women of Law” Class of 2022.

Michigan Lawyers Weekly will present the awards during a Sept. 23 luncheon at the Detroit Marriott Hotel in Troy. 

Field-Foster focuses her practice on governmental affairs and lobbying, advising clients in various industries on navigating all levels of government, including advocacy, policy and regulatory impacts, political and campaign strategy, and legislative analysis and drafting. She has worked with clients to pass legislation or change regulations impacting renewable energy, transportation, procurement, higher education and sports betting. She also has assisted clients win multimillion-dollar procurement and capital outlay contracts with the state of Michigan.

Field-Foster has worked for two governors, the state of Michigan, Michigan Legislature and Michigan State University. This includes five years as assistant vice president of strategic initiatives in MSU’s Office of Governmental Affairs, where she designed and implemented programs to educate and inform MSU constituencies, encouraging state and local officials to invest in MSU higher education initiatives. Earlier, she served as director of government affairs for the Michigan Department of Management and Budget, as deputy director of legislative affairs for Gov. Jennifer Granholm and as a legislative policy analyst for the Michigan House of Representatives. She also served as deputy legal counsel for the transition team of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist.

Field-Foster serves on the boards of the U.S. Minority Contractors Association, Sparrow Foundation, Peckham Inc. and National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics. She is a Council of State Government Henry Toll Fellow, Big Ten Academic Alliance Leadership Fellow and member of the National Black Professional Lobbyists Association. She also is a member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan.
