The Hon. Amy Ronayne Krause will join the criminal defense litigation firm of Chartier & Nyamfukudza, P.L.C., in December.
Ronayne Krause received her BA from the University of Michigan and her JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
She served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for eight years, including four years in a supervising role. She then was appointed an assistant attorney general and was the first recipient of the Frank J. Kelley Award for Excellence in Trial
Advocacy. She worked for the Attorney General’s office for more than six years.
After almost 15 years as a litigator, Ronayne Krause served as a judge on the 54A District Court in Lansing for nearly eight years. She was then appointed to the Court of Appeals in November of 2010, where she heard criminal and civil cases. Ronayne Krause now resigns from this position after serving the community as a judge for the last 20 years.
