Plunkett Cooney elects Board of Directors members

During Plunkett Cooney’s recent annual meeting, shareholders Lisa A. Hall, Audrey J. Forbush and Scott K. Lites were elected by their colleagues to serve as members of the firm’s Board of Directors.

Hall was elected to her first term on the Board, and Forbush and Lites were re-elected. They will each serve three-year terms.

A member of the firm’s Grand Rapids office, Hall maintains a wide-ranging practice that includes expertise in banking law, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, liquor licensing, municipal liability and real estate law. Her clients include financial institutions, insurance providers, municipalities and other public entities.

Admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Michigan, Hall received her law degree, cum laude, from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2006. She received her undergraduate degree from the James Madison College at Michigan State University in 2003.

The managing partner of Plunkett Cooney’s Flint office and Co-leader of the firm’s Governmental Law Practice Group, Forbush focuses her practice in the areas of medical and municipal liability with particular expertise in the defense of municipalities in police liability matters.

Forbush is a member of the State Bar of  Michigan’s Governmental Law Section and the Genesee County Bar Association’s Public Corporation Section, and she serves as legal advisor to the Law Enforcement Action Forum, an organization consisting of select law enforcement executives throughout Michigan.

Forbush received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 1988 and her undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University in 1984.

Lites, who is a member of the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, is one of the firm’s most accomplished business attorneys with nearly 40 years of experience representing clients in all aspects of corporate and real estate law.

Lites routinely acts as general counsel for many of his clients an adds a unique perspective to their business. He is currently listed among the Best Lawyers in America in corporate law.  He has previously been listed in DBusiness magazine as a Top Lawyer in real estate law, and he was an appointed member of the state of Michigan’s Receivership Transition Advisory Board for the City of Allen Park.  

Lites received his law degree in 1985 from the University of Detroit School of Law and his undergraduate degree in 1982 from the University of Michigan.
