After 156 years of serving the Jackson community, the law firm of Marcoux Allen is closing its doors at the end of the summer.
Partners Diane Bower and Robert Kendall plan to retire and Bree Thurlby has accepted the position of Referee for the Jackson County Friend of the Court.
Richad Mills, while continuing to reside in Jackson, has joined the law firm of Smith, Haughey, Rice & Roegge in the Ann Arbor office and will lead the estate planning work in the east side of the state.
Mills graduated from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2005.
Smith, Haughey, Rice & Roegge has four offices in Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Holland, and Muskegon.
