Bodman Adds Five New Attorneys

Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that Aya Beydoun, Elizabeth Blondin, Grace Connolly, Spencer Darling, and Celina Grimes have joined the firm as associate attorneys.

 Darling is based in the Ann Arbor office, Beydoun and Blondin in the Troy office, and Connolly and Grimes in the Detroit office. Beydoun, Connolly, Darling and Grimes participated in Bodman’s 2022 summer associate program.

 Beydoun is an associate in Bodman’s Enterprise Procurement Group. She represents business clients in connection with a variety of commercial transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of vendor contracts for a broad range of goods and services.

Beydoun is a graduate of the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. As a law student, Beydoun won multiple book awards, was recognized on the Dean’s list, and served as a Moot Court member. She served as a research assistant for Professor Erin Archerd where she was a contributor to the distinguished University of the Pacific Law Review article titled “Two Hearts and Brewer/Distributor Conflicts,” conducted research on beer distribution laws, and reviewed agreements between manufacturers, wholesale distributors, and retailers.

Blondin is an associate in Bodman’s Banking Practice Group. She focuses her practice on representing financial institutions in connection with commercial loan originations and transactional matters.

Blondin is a cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. She received her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Albion College. During law school, Blondin received the Dean’s Scholarship recipient and the Jeffrey S. Lehman award as the top 1L Legal Research and Writing Student. She served as a senior editor for the Michigan Law Review.

Connolly is an associate in Bodman’s Business Practice Group. She represents a variety of corporate clients in connection with the structuring and negotiation of complex transactions and on general organizational and business matters.

Connolly is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School and received two undergraduate degrees from Michigan State University. As a law student, Connolly served as a student attorney in the Disability Law Clinic assisting clients in administrative hearings to reinstate SSA benefits and preparing client for clemency application including interviews, case review, and clemency application preparation.

Darling is an associate in Bodman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He represents clients in connection with intellectual property transactions and dispute resolution processes, trademark registrations, and brand protection matters. 

Darling is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Wayne State University. As a law student, Darling served as a student attorney for the University of Michigan Law School Veterans Clinic, where he provided free legal services to veterans. He was an associate editor and managing editor of the Journal of Law Reform, where he earned the Award for Exceptional Service for outstanding all-around contributions to the journal.

Grimes is an associate in Bodman’s Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She represents clients involved in commercial litigation matters.

Grimes is a cum laude graduate of Wayne State University School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from Western University. As a law student, Grimes spent time as a research assistant and teaching assistant, researching bilateral investment treaties and compensation provisions and assisting in preparation of materials for first-year contracts. She served as the president of the International Law Students Association, the professional development chair for the Women’s Law Caucus, and a second-year evening governor for the Student Board of Governors.
