Applications for Pro Bono Honor Roll now available
The State Bar of Michigan’s 2024 Pro Bono Honor Roll Application and Pro Bono Service Reporting Survey is now available for individual attorneys, solo practitioners, law firms, and corporations. The deadline is April 30.
The Pro Bono Honor Roll recognizes those who support access-to-justice efforts by providing qualifying pro bono legal services to low-income individuals and families in Michigan. The 2024 Pro Bono Honor Roll recognizes bono service performed during the 2023 calendar year.
Individual attorneys and firms have the option of remaining anonymous, but still are encouraged to report their qualifying pro bono service to the State Bar of Michigan by completing one of the following applications:

In Michigan, pro bono service has become a well-established tradition among members of the legal profession. In 2023, more than 1,000 Michigan attorneys provided more than 42,500 hours of pro bono services.

Stapleton named Member-In Charge at Clark Hill
Steven Stapleton, a Member of Clark Hill’s Litigation team, has been named Member-In-Charge of the Grand Rapids office.
Stapleton also has established a niche practice in sports law.
Stapleton has been named among The Best Lawyers in America – Commercial Litigation by Best Lawyers since 2014 and was selected as a “Grand Rapids Top Lawyer.”
He earned his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University.
