The Access to Justice Campaign thanks the Michigan Legal Community for its support for civil legal aid programs in Michigan.
The ATJ Campaign is a collaborative centralized campaign, administered by the Michigan State Bar Foundation in partnership with the State Bar of Michigan, to increase resources for 14 regional and statewide civil legal aid programs in Michigan; 100% of the funds raised are distributed to the legal aid programs to ensure Michigan’s low-income residents have a fair chance when accessing the civil system.
In 2023, the Campaign raised over $1.2 million from law firms, corporate legal departments, and individual attorneys. Notably, 43 law firms earned a place on the Leadership Firm list, reserved to recognize firms with two or more attorneys donating a minimum of $300 per attorney
“The generosity of the legal community continues to further our mission of ensuring access to justice for all. We are extremely grateful for the support of our donors. We ask for their help in educating their spheres of influence that contributing to the Campaign is a way to advance this critical mission” said Craig Lubben, Board President of the Michigan State Bar Foundation.
