Library to host Senior Social Hour June 27


Come to Hackley Library, 316 W. Webster, Muskegon, for a fun and relaxing free senior social hour, with light refreshments, games (Bring Your Own Board game!), and good conversation.

Senior Social Hour will be at Hackley Library each month on the last Thursday, from 3 to 4 p.m., with a different theme each time.

Registration is preferred, but not required.

 ‘John Steuart Curry: Weathering the Storm’
runs through September 2


The Muskegon Museum of Art hosts “John Steuart Curry: Weathering the Storm,” with Curry’s most iconic masterpieces and a fresh perspective into the life and art of one of America’s most influential artists. The exhibit will run through September 2.

‘Quilts: The Artistry of Home’
runs through September 29


Quilt making is a traditional art form that blends artistry with craft and function. Quilts: The Artistry of Home showcases a selection of quilts from the Michigan State University Collection that were made during the early 20th century, with a focus on the era of Great Depression. The event runs through September 29 at the Muskegon Museum of Art, 296 West Webster Ave., Muskegon, MI 49440.
