Brendan P. Karl, has joined Mika Meyers PLC, as a member, based out of the Grand Rapids office.
Karl is an experienced litigator and has represented clients in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. His areas of practice include: appellate law, commercial litigation, constitutional law and civil rights, election law, probate litigation, landlord tenant, and real estate litigation.
He received a BSc. in chemistry from Hillsdale College and a J.D., cum laude, from Ave Maria School of Law.
He then served as an attorney and officer in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. In addition to prosecuting courts martial, leading a civil law section, and advising on contract matters, he was deployed and provided legal support to the commander of a joint information warfare task force.
He was also appointed as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri.
Karl is involved in the State Bar of Michigan, The Florida Bar, and the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies.
