Both the Jackson Police Department headquarters at 216 E. Washington Ave. and the Jackson Fire Department Central Fire Station at 518 N. Jackson St. are designated drop off sites for Toys for Tots, an annual program from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that collects toys for children in need during the holiday season.
Residents are welcome to use donation boxes in the police and fire department front lobbies that are open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Only new, unwrapped toys for ages 0-15 years old will be accepted.
Donations will be distributed to various non-profit organizations in Jackson County.
