Laue honored in ABI ‘40 Under 40’ Class of Emerging Leaders


Nick Laue, a partner at Keller & Almassian, PLC, has been selected for the 2024 class of “40 Under 40” Emerging Leaders in Insolvency Practice by the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Laue and 39 other industry professionals, younger than 40, will be recognized during an awards program during the ABI’s 2024 Winter Leadership Conference at the Phoenician Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona on December 13.

Laue’s practice includes representing creditors, lenders, debtors, and asset buyers in both the consumer and corporate bankruptcy arena. He regularly represents clients in state and federal commercial litigation matters. He also has considerable experience representing clients in adversary proceedings before the Bankruptcy Courts for the Western and Eastern District of Michigan.

He has been selected as a Best Lawyers in America since 2023 and featured in the Grand Rapids Magazine as a Top Lawyer in the area of Bankruptcy Creditor/Debtor Rights Law.

Laue is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, American Bar Association, Grand Rapids Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Bankruptcy Section, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He serves on the Social Interaction Committee for the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and is an
adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University.

Amber M. Soler elected to Board of Directors of MomsBloom


Mika Meyers attorney and associate, Amber M. Soler, was recently elected to the MomsBloom Board of Directors. MomsBloom offers in-home practical and emotional support for families with newborns in Kent and Ottawa counties.

Soler has been practicing law for 12 years, and specializes in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and family law.

She is involved in the State Bar of Michigan, Grand Rapids Bar Association, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and National Association of Women Lawyers.
