Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint and Genesee County will celebrate Dr. King through its 19th Annual Mentoring Inspiration Breakfast on Monday, January 20, 2025 at St. Michaels Conference Center. Registration is from 8:30-9:00 a.m. with the program beginning promptly at 9 a.m. The purpose of the annual Mentoring Inspiration Breakfast is to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy through the promotion of a commitment to mentorship and service in our community. Mr. James Avery, Genesee County Commissioner and CEO of Berston Field House, will serve as Master of Ceremony.
Mama Sol will be the keynote speaker for this year’s event.
National Mentoring Month culminates on January 25th with #ThankYourMentorDay. This day is dedicated to anyone who has benefitted from a mentor thanking their mentor. Please help us spread the word about the power and benefits of the evidence based one-to-one mentoring model that sets Big Brothers Big Sisters apart. We look forward to your presence at our MLK celebration on January 20th and thank you for your continued support Flint & Genesee County youth.

Mama Sol is currently collaborating with Official Starter & Ty Mopkins on the Detroit Pistons official Black History “Til Victory is Won” Starter jacket. She is also currently working with Dr. Mona on the RxKids Initiative to erase infant poverty in Flint, MI. Mama Sol continues to be a dynamic force for positive change.
