MUSKEGON, Jan. 21, 2025 — On February 1, 2025, the Muskegon YMCA will host its annual Black Tie for the Y event, a gala and auction dedicated to raising funds for the Livestrong with the YMCA program, which empowers cancer survivors to reclaim their strength.
Black Tie for the Y is an elegant evening complete with silent and live auctions, raffles, and a gourmet four-course dinner, including appetizers, drinks, and dessert. Guests can also enjoy music, dancing, and a late-night snack to cap off the celebration.
This year’s event brings exciting new additions, including an interactive raffle with Muskegon Axe Throwing—a fun opportunity to test your skills and win a prize. Exclusive live auction items include a Swanson Pickle Co. tour, a private Hamburger Mikey food truck experience, and much more. The evening will be hosted by Gary Nelund, Mayor of Norton Shores, adding a special touch to the festivities.
All proceeds from Black Tie for the Y support the Livestrong with the YMCA program, which provides cancer survivors a safe, supportive environment to engage in physical activity aimed at strengthening the whole person. This no-cost program allows participants to focus on their health and well-being, thanks to the generosity of donors.
Black Tie for the Y starts at 6:00pm at the Delta Hotel in downtown Muskegon. The Muskegon Y invites you to grab a friend, get dressed up (black tie optional), and reserve your spot today at https://muskegonymca.cbo.io/.
