Nominating petitions for the 2025 State Bar of Michigan election are now available. The June election will include:
• A statewide election for a non-judicial member of the Judicial Tenure Commission.
• For 85 members of the Representative Assembly in 48 judicial circuits.
• For seven members of the Board of Commissioners in five commissioner districts.
• For 13 members of the Young Lawyers Section Executive Council in three districts.
Nominating petitions must be emailed to csharlow@michbar.org no later than April 30.
Nominating petitions for all elections are available online.
As a substitute for physical signatures, “electronic confirmation of nomination” may be submitted in the following format:
I support the nomination of [CANDIDATE ATTORNEY’S NAME] to serve on the [POSITION] for the [XX] District/Circuit.
My office is located in the [XX] District/Circuit.

[NOMINATING ATTORNEY’S P NUMBER]
[NOMINATING ATTORNEY’S OFFICE ADDRESS]
Online voting will begin no later than June 1, and must be completed online no later than June 16.
Ballots will be emailed to active Michigan attorneys at the email address they have on file. Check or update your contact information at michbar.org/MemberArea.
