‘Future Female First Responder Camp’ set July 21-24


The City of Jackson is proud to announce the return of the “Future Female First Responder Camp.” 

Hosted by the Jackson Fire Department in partnership with the Jackson Police Department and Jackson Community Ambulance, the camp will run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, July 21–24, 2025, and is free of charge.

This camp offers a unique opportunity for hands-on learning with female first responders from police, fire, and ambulance services. 

Participants will gain valuable life-saving skills, build confidence, and explore public safety careers.

Highlights Include:

• Interactive sessions with scenarios to develop decision-making and response skills.

• Team-building activities.

• Daily lunch, free of charge.

• Q&A Panels with professionals from police, fire, and EMS backgrounds.

Campers will explore fire safety with the Jackson Fire Department, learn personal defense with Jackson Police, and experience a day in the life of EMS with Jackson Community Ambulance, including an ambulance tour, and pig lung demonstration.
