Zeeland Man Injured In 96th & Adams Crash

A 72-year-old Zeeland man was seriously injured in a two-car crash on May 28 at the intersec-tion of 96th Avenue and Adams Street.

The crash occurred at 3:49 p.m. According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the Zeeland man was driving his 2017 Nissan car southbound on 96th when it made a left turn into the path of a northbound 2022 Hyundai driven by a 27-year-old Holland man. The two vehicles collided head-on, Lt. Greg Rotman of the sheriff’s office said.

The Zeeland man was pinned in his vehicle. He was taken to Holland Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other driver was injured but declined transport by AMR ambulance, Rotman said.

Names of the two drivers were not released. The crash remains under investigation.
