Muskegon Catholic’s Bradley Richards turned in a personal best in the high jump on Saturday to capture a state title in the Division 4 state track meet.

In fact, Richards’ effort was the best in the state for prep high jumpers regardless of class when he cleared 6-10.75. Jayden Robinson from White Cloud finished second to Richards with a leap of 6-4.

Robinson bowed out after missing at 6-6 while Richards continued to climb. He narrowly missed at 7-0. His finishing height was the best ever in Muskegon County history.

Richards captured the state title as a sophomore in 2023 and finished runner-up as a junior in 2024.
