44th Annual Trinity Health Seaway Run
is set June 28    


The 44th annual Trinity Health Seaway Run— with a Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, and Community Walk—will take place on Saturday, June 28, starting at Heritage Landing, 1050 7th St., in downtown Muskegon.

The packet pickup and race Expo is 2 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 27 at Heritage Landing.

Start times on the Saturday will be 7 a.m. for the Half Marathon; 7:45 a.m. for the 10K; 8 a.m. for the 5k; and 8:05 a.m. for the Community Walk.

Register at seawayrun.com. (Under age 18 can register for the 5k for $15).

Proceeds benefit year-round programs at the Muskegon YMCA, including chronic disease prevention, nutritious food access through the Mobile Farmers Market, Livestrong for cancer survivors, Safety Around Water for students, and youth day and overnight camps in Muskegon and at YMCA Camp Pendalouan in Montague.


WMS Side By Side concert is set July 12


Local community musicians share the stage with the professional musicians of the West Michigan Symphony, with music from the Imperial March to In the Hall of the Mountain King and Stars and Stripes Forever. The concert is set 6:30 p.m., Saturday, July 12, in the Frauenthal Center.


‘Julia Child: A Recipe For Life’


 This exhibition of an American icon will be held at the Muskegon Museum of Art from through September 1.

Attendees will step into a replica of Child’s famous TV set; experience the sights and sounds of her kitchen and explore an amazing interactive exhibition of her legacy.

Admission is an $8 upcharge from general admission.
