For the past five years, Restoration Church has shared space with Bethel Christian Reformed Church in downtown Zeeland.
Now, the Restoration congregation has moved to Holland. It held its first service Sunday at Maplewood Reformed Church on Holland’s south side.
Restoration Pastor Dave Roberts wrote in an email to the Zeeland Record that the decision to move to Holland “was not a direct response” to the recent vote by Bethel CRC’s members to sell the church property at 515 E. Main Ave. to Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition.
“We have felt we needed to move towards Holland for some time, since a number of people who attend Restoration are from Holland,” Roberts wrote in his email.
Restoration meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. The Maplewood Church campus is at 133 E. 34th St. in Holland.
