A forum for the candidates running for the Zeeland City Council will be held next Thursday night at the Howard Miller Community Center.
The forum, sponsored by the Holland-area chapter of the League of Women Voters, will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Six candidates are running for three four-year seats on the council. They are incumbent Glenn Kass and challengers Andrew Bult, Kylee DeBoer, Ericka Humbert, Amy Langeland and Rebecca Perkins. All six candidates have been invited to take part in the forum.
Candidates will respond to questions submitted to the moderator. Those who would like to submit a question to the candidates can do so online at lwvholland.org. Once on the website, go to the event calendar and click on the link that says “Zeeland City Council Candidate Forum.”
With absentee voting for the election starting Sept. 25, it’s a great opportunity to hear where the candidates stand on the issues facing the city.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization focused on voter education.
