MSU College of Law welcomes several new faculty members

David Frydrych?joins MSU Law to teach Trusts & Estates and Property. He was most recently a scholar at Monash University in Australia. Frydrych holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Oxford (2016), a B.A. and LL.M. from the University of Toronto, and a J.D. from Cardozo School of Law. 

Donovan McCarty, new Director of the Housing Justice Clinic, brings extensive experience in public interest law. He was Interim Managing Attorney at the Detroit Justice Center, representing clients on landlord-tenant, traffic, and family law issues.

Asma Uddin?will teach Constitutional Law II and International Human Rights. She was a Research Fellow in Constitutional Theory at Georgetown University Law School and earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago. Her expertise includes First Amendment Law, Law and Religion, and International Human Rights.

In addition, Ieisha Humphrey, Assistant Dean for Professionalism, Leadership, and Bar Success, will work closely with students preparing for the bar and entering the profession. 

Erin Livingston?joins the administrative leadership team as Human Resources, Operations, and Facilities Manager. 

Evangelos “Van” Theodorou?brings experience in admissions strategy and analytics to his new role as Director of Admissions Data Analytics and Regional Recruitment.

David Blankfein-Tabachnick?has been promoted to full Professor of Law. 

Kevin Douglas?and Daniel Rosenbaum?have been promoted to Associate Professor without tenure. 

Jane Meland has been promoted to Assistant Dean of the John F. Schaefer Law Library.

Geeyoung Min?has been awarded tenure, effective July 1. She is a leading scholar in corporate law and governance.
