WMS presents BLKBOK Concert October 17
BLKBOK – Contemporary Piano concert is set 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 17, in The Block.
Born and raised in inner-city Detroit, the artist grew up in a music-filled home. BLKBOK’s high-energy style seeks to entertain with a live piano based performance that is culturally reflective and encourages dialogue.

The 96th Michigan Contemporary Art Exhibition continues a rich legacy of showcasing the work of Michigan artists.
A competitive show, the Michigan Contemporary presents a look at the issues, themes, and materials inspiring today’s Michigan artists. Featured media include painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and installation.
The juror is Ayana Ross, who holds a Master of Arts degree in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design (2021) and a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
