Neil P. Jansen selected as a 2025 Leader in the Law  


Mika Meyers attorney Neil Jansen, from the firm’s Grand Rapids office, was selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a 2025 Leader in the Law, one of 34 attorneys selected for the award.

Jansen specializes in many areas of the law, including civil and real estate litigation, energy and natural resources, elder law, probate and trust administration,probate and trust disputes, and estate and trust planning. 

Jansen earned his undergraduate degree, with honors, in political science and international studies, from Michigan State University; and his JD from Wayne State University Law School, where he was chancellor of Moot Court, and a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court team.

Wassink named to Grand Rapids 200


Mark Wassink, managing partner of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been selected to the Grand Rapids 200 list for a fourth consecutive year. 

As managing partner of Warner, Wassink leads one of the largest law firms in Michigan. In this role, he chairs Warner’s management committee and guides the firm’s strategic direction and growth. Warner has more than 230 attorneys practicing in offices in Bloomfield Hills, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Macomb County, Midland and Muskegon.

Wassink is serving a second term as managing partner. He joined Warner in 1992, became a partner in 2001 and then managing partner in 2022. 

He previously served in many roles at Warner, including chair of the Recruiting Committee and Professional Staff Committee.

He concentrates his legal practice on business, commercial finance and related areas. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, which named him Grand Rapids Corporate Lawyer of the Year in 2023 and 2025. 

He has also been recognized by Leading Lawyers. 

Wassink serves on the board of The Right Place Inc. 

He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree magna cum laude from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
