Nominations are open for SBM?highest awards

Nominations are open for the State Bar of Michigan’s annual awards, including SBM’s highest honor, the Roberts P. Hudson Award, for a person who has exemplified the highest ideals of the legal profession. 

The awards, bestowed by the State Bar of Michigan, also include the Frank J. Kelley Distinguished Public Service Award, Champion of Justice Award, Kimberly M. Cahill Bar Leadership Award, John W.  Cummiskey Pro Bono Award, John W. Reed Michigan Lawyer Legacy Award, and Liberty Bell Award.  

Information about nominations may be found online and should include comprehensive details about the nominee’s achievements, qualifications, and contributions, enabling the committees to make an informed recommendation to the Board of Commissioners.  

All nominations, except those for the Liberty Bell, are due by Friday, March 6. Liberty Bell nominations are due by Friday, May 8.
