‘Visionary Women of Muskegon’s Past’

Muskegon has a long history of influential women, including those who founded the Lakeshore Museum Center. 

Learn about their lives, highlight their accomplishments, and honor their wisdom. 

Presented by the Lakeshore Museum Center and sponsored by the Friends of the Walker Memorial Library.

The event is set 6 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 23, at the Muskegon Area District Library - North Muskegon Branch, 1522 Ruddiman Drive, North Muskegon.


‘Camille Zamora – Love in Song’

Camille Zamora’s voice has been described as “luminous, transcendently lyrical.” 

On this evening following her appearance with the West Michigan Symphony, she’ll take concertgoers on a journey from the heart: loves songs across five centuries and five continents.
The event is set 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 31, at The Block.

‘Crossroads’ Exhibit at MMA to
run through March 15


“Crossroads: Intersections of Black Family Culture” is an interdisciplinary exhibition exploring the cultural significance of Black family dynamics in the Americas. 

Organized by the Muskegon Museum of Art in partnership with co-curators Sydney G. James, Scheherazade Washington-Parrish, and Juana Williams, the exhibition comprises artworks of twenty artists from the Detroit area,  

The show will run through March 15.
