Sterling Heights man arraigned on animal torture and cruelty charges

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido has announced that 26-year-old Bradley Allen of Sterling Heights was arraigned on charges of animal torture and cruelty.

On Feb. 20, Allen allegedly struck a dog with a leash three times and hit the dog in its face approximately six times.

Allen was arraigned Wednesday in the 41A District Court in Sterling Heights on the following charges:

Animals – Killing/Torturing – Third Degree, a 4-year felony

Animals – Abandoning/Cruelty to One Animal, a 93-day misdemeanor

Allen’s bond was set at $7,500 cash/surety/10%. If released, he can have no contact, possession or ownership of any animal that can be considered a pet.

Allen is scheduled for a probable cause conference before Judge Eric D. Shepherd at the 41A District Court on April 23
