Library Hosts Book Club on April 20


Book Club at the MADL Muskegon Township Branch, 1910 E Apple Ave., Muskegon, Michigan 49442, is set 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.,Monday, April 20. Copies of the monthly selection are available at the library. New participants are welcome.

The April book is The Camelot Caper by Elizabeth Peters. This 1969 romantic suspense novel  features the character John Smythe and an American woman, Jessica Tregarth, who gets caught up in a mystery involving Arthurian legend and a family heirloom in Cornwall, England.


West Michigan Symphony
All Star Finale set May 8


The All Star Finale to the season is set 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 8, at the Frauenthal Center. With conductor Scott Speck,  Igor Cetkovic on cello, and Peter Kurdziel on organ. Music includes the Glinka Overture to Ruslan and Ludmilla; Gulda Cello Concert; and Saint-Saëns Symphony No. 3 “Organ Symphony.”

STEAM Along the Lakeshore set May 2


This free family event is set 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 2. Start at any location, get your bag with a STEAM kit, a “passport” and a shirt. Travel between four anchor organizations and Hackley Park. Complete an activity and get a sticker in your passport. Once filled, turn it in for a chance to win raffle prizes. Kindergarten through 12th Grade welcome! First 750 students will receive free STEAM kits and a t-shirt at Hackley Park.
