After nearly 40 years, Kalamazoo-based Levine & Levine Attorneys At Law has become Markou Montague Levine Defense (MMLD). Sharan and Randall Levine founded the firm in 1987.

Levine & Levine Managing Partner Randall Levine is staying with the firm, focusing on state licensing and regulatory affairs and serious criminal accusations. 

Partner Sharan Lee Levine retired in December 2025. The firm’s longstanding criminal defense attorneys, Anastase Markou and Sarissa K. Montague, are managing partners of MMLD.
