Kagey joined BLLH in 2020 as an associate after graduating magna cum laude from WMU Cooley Law School. She was recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” for 2025-26, a distinction for outstanding attorneys who are under age 40 or who have been practicing for less than 10 years. Her areas of focus include probate and trust administration, probate litigation, Medicaid planning, elder law, estate planning, and guardianships/conservatorships.
In September 2025, Kagey was elected to the board of the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. In addition, she has served as vice president on the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council (GLEPC) and will become president of the Planning Council in September 2026.
Kagey resides in Okemos with her husband and three daughters.
