After 24 years of smoky grills, full plates, and even fuller hearts, Uncle Phil’s BBQ is preparing to fire up for one last, unforgettable celebration.
This year’s 25th Uncle Phil’s BBQ will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Lumen Christi Catholic School Patio at 3483 Spring Arbor Road in Jackson. The cost is $20 per lunch or $400 for a sponsorship which includes eight lunches.
What began as a simple gathering has grown into one of Jackson’s most cherished traditions—bringing together neighbors, families, and friends in the spirit of generosity and community. Over the past 24 years, Uncle Phil’s BBQ has raised more than $250,000 to support local charities, uplift families in need, and strengthen the Jackson community.
We wanted to go out the same way we started—bringing people together, sharing great food, and making a difference,” said Phil Willis, founder. “The impact this event has had belongs to the entire community. It’s something truly worth celebrating.”
Organizers also extend heartfelt gratitude to the many sponsors, supporters, media outlets and volunteers who helped make the 25 years of Uncle Phil’s BBQ a success year after year. Special recognition goes to long-time supporters Knight’s Steakhouse & Grill, Willis & Machnik Financial Services, Polly’s Country Market, Emmons, Tri-County Water, Milo’s whose generosity and commitment played a vital role in the event’s lasting impact.
The 25th and final Uncle Phil’s BBQ promises to be a memorable sendoff—featuring delicious on site grilled chicken, along with pasta, potato and fruit salads from Knights Steakhouse & Grill, coneys and the famous sauce from Virginia Coney Island and the best hamburgers from Schlenker’s, and moments to reflect on the friendships formed and lives touched along the way. Attendees can expect a festive, heartfelt atmosphere as the community gathers one last time to celebrate a legacy built on giving.
Community members are encouraged to join us for lunch $20 per lunch, share stories, and help make this final event the most meaningful one yet.
