Rosemarie Bos, 88


Rosemarie Bos, 88, of Holland, died Monday, June 8, 2026.

She was a lifelong member of Central Park Reformed Church. Rosemarie loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports and enjoyed reading books. She grew up with horses and was an avid horseback rider her entire life, even into her 80’s.

She taught 4-H for many years and showed in the horse show circuits. Rosemarie was a member of the MTRA, where she holds the record of crossing the state of Michigan 94 times on horseback. After a short hiatus her family knows she is now “back in the saddle” again.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Delbert; children, Rob Bos, Jodi Salacina and Lori (Jon) Boeve; grandchildren, Michelle Bos and Reagan Boeve; great-grandchildren, Willow Bos and Gaige Larson; brothers, Terry (Karen) Brink, Jack Brink; in-laws, Irv (Marianne) Bos, John (Betty) Bos, Jerry (Diane) Bos, Beverly Bos; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 12 noon Friday, June 19, 2026, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at Central Park Reformed Church, 614 Myrtle Ave. Holland. 

Memorial contributions may be given to Central Park Reformed Church.

Henry Viening, 79


Henry Viening, 79, of Zeeland, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Henry was a longtime member of First Reformed Church in Zeeland. He worked for many years at Haworth and retired from there. 

Henry enjoyed reading, listening to music (especially the Gaithers) and he was a prayer warrior. He loved to take pictures (but never wanted his picture taken) and he enjoyed scrapbooking. He especially loved his grandchildren and attending as many as possible of their activities.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma; children, Jeff Viening, Kevin and Jennifer Viening, and Chad and Danielle Viening; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Spencer and Jada Viening (Leighton and Grace), Caleb Viening and Sarah De Jonge (Psalm), Beck Viening, Kaela and Tom Cramer (Tayleigh and Raelynn), Keagen Viening, Jazlynn and Jacob Murillo (Waverly), Juliet Viening and Nathaniel Van Dussen, Craven Viening and Cohen Viening; brother, George Viening; and in-laws, Judy Viening, Judy Mokma, Bill and Mary Nykamp, Garry and Beth Nykamp, Sandy and Jim Van Dragt, Phyllis Nykamp, and Linda and Mark Molewyk.

Funeral services for Henry were held Monday, June 8 at First Reformed Church, 125 E. Lincoln Ave., Zeeland. Interment was in Zeeland Cemetery.

Gord Duimstra, 86


Gord Duimstra, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 6, 2026, after having a stroke on June 2.

He was known by family, friends, and his community as a man of deep faith. Gord was a longtime member of Oakland Christian Reformed Church where he was involved in the consistory and was also a Cadet counselor for many years. 

In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, his horses and buggies, and finding treasures for his cowboy museum.

Gord retired after many years at Haworth as a tool and die engineer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Grace Duimstra; in-laws, Gerald and Marion Kruithof; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine (Duimstra) and Roger Brower; and son-in-law, Ken Hertz.

Gord is survived by his wife, Connie Duimstra; children, Diane (Duimstra) and Robert Hoekstra, Susan (Duimstra) and Gary Vredeveld, Lisa (Duimstra) Hertz, and Jon and Cindy Duimstra; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill and Shari Duimstra; and sister-in-law, Ruth Kruithof.

A memorial service to honor Gord’s life was held Wednesday, June 10 at Oakland Christian Reformed Church, 4460 38th St., Hamilton. Interment was in Bentheim Cemetery.

David Fagerstrom, 81


David R. Fagerstrom, 81, stepped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 28, 2026, under the care of Heritage Nursing & Rehab in Zeeland, and Corewell Health Hospice.

Dave was born on Aug. 20, 1944, in Duluth, Minn. to Roy and Doris Fagerstrom. Dave graduated from Holland High School. He went on to build a career working in the boating industry, Chris Craft, and ending his career at Fleetwood Furniture, along with owning Sun Island and Haircare for 34 years. 

Dave will be remembered for his warm spirit, his strong work ethic, and his ability to talk to anyone around him.

Dave was a man of steady faith. He loved the Lord and made it a priority to bring his family to church every week, passing down a meaningful foundation to his children. Genuinely personable and easy to talk to, Dave was 
always ready with a kind word, a warm smile, or an encouraging conversation for anyone he crossed paths with.

Dave was preceded in death just nine months ago by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marcia Fagerstrom. Together, they raised three children: Scott (Amy) Fagerstrom, Heidi (Todd) Berens, and Nicole (Derek) Prins. He was an incredibly proud grandfather to Brie (Geoff) Rouwhorst, Curtis Berens, Victoria (Spencer) Boeve, Marcus Brown, and Simon, Scarlett, and Iris Prins; step-grandchildren Tiyana Eklund and Shaelyn Espuet; and step-great-grandchild,  Tevea Espuet. He is also survived by his brother, Doug (Donna) Fagerstrom, their daughter Darci (Jay) and her children, Kyra and Arlie.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Langeland-Sternberg Funeral Home, 315 W. 16th St., Holland. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at Harderwyk Ministries, 1627 W. Lakewood Blvd., Holland, with lunch to follow. 

Dave was known for wearing bright colors and bringing a little extra brightness wherever he went. In his honor, those attending the visitation or celebration of life service are welcome to wear blue.

Paul Mannes, 73


Paul Brent Mannes, 73, of Grandville, formerly of Holland and Saugatuck, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Born Dec. 11, 1952 in Zeeland, he was the youngest of L.J. and Susan Mannes’ five children. Paul spent most of his life in Holland, where he became known as a hardworking craftsman. 

For more than 30 years, he owned and operated a concrete business, taking pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces. He enjoyed renovating, building, and adding his own touch to every project.

Paul is survived by his children, Amy (Eric) Beckman of Saugatuck and P. Ben Mannes (Jeff), of Yucca Valley, Calif.; grandsons, Samuel P. Beckman of Detroit and Thomas J. Beckman of Saugatuck; his former spouse, Debra Baas; sisters-in-law, Nina Mannes and Jo Mannes; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Ken Mannes, Lee Mannes, Larry Mannes and Pearl Harter.

Paul’s family is grateful for the care, kindness, and support shown to him during his stay at Intersect Healthcare, as well as for the compassion extended to them during this difficult time.

A private memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
