Waypoint Community Church will hold an outdoor concert featuring the duo These Beautiful Ruins and local worship leader Justin Kolean July 23 at 7 p.m.
These Beautiful Ruins is a husband-and-wife alternative music duo consisting of guitarist/vocalist Matt Mitchell and lead vocalist Kristen Mitchell. Based in Louisville, Ky., their music addresses themes of mental health and healing. One of their singles, “I Will Rise,” went to No. 4 on the Christian Music Weekly rock charts in 2024, while another single, “Send Help,” cracked the Top 25 of the CMW rock charts.
Justin Kolean is a musician and songwriter from Holland who serves as worship pastor at Cultivate Community Church in Hamilton. For eight years (2013-21), Kolean was the worship pastor at The Foundry Church in Zeeland.
There will be free yard games and ice cream available at the concert.
