Classic car enthusiasts turned out in droves last weekend for Zeeland’s 32nd annual Show & Shine Car Cruise & Show.
About 150 cars took part last Friday in the Show & Shine cruise, which originated from Gentex Corporation’s parking lot. About 320 cars lined Main Avenue from State Street to Maple Street, and on Elm Street from Main to Cherry Avenue, on Saturday for the car show, event organizer Lynette Lam said.
Attendees had the opportunity to vote for their favorite vehicle. Linda Castaneda’s 1972 Pontiac GTO was voted the People’s Choice winner.

Classic cars line up to get ready for the Show & Shine cruise in the parking lot of Gentex Corporation last Friday. Organizers say about 150 cars took part in the cruise. From Gentex, the cruise headed east on Riley Street to Fairview Avenue, south on Fairview to Main Avenue, then west on Main to the roundabout, then back east on Main to downtown.
