The personal injury law firm of Sinas Dramis, which bills itself as Michigan’s Advocates for the Injured, recently sponsored its 2026 Lids for Kids events in Lansing and Grand Rapids.
Each year since 2003, Lids for Kids has brought together families, community partners, and safety advocates to help keep children safe while encouraging healthy, active lifestyles.
At this year’s Lids for Kids events in the two cities, professionally trained volunteers custom-fitted nearly 800 children with free bicycle helmets, providing young riders with safety equipment that can significantly reduce the risk of head and brain injuries.
To further encourage safe outdoor activity, Sinas Dramis also gave away more than 50 bicycles through event drawings, creating memorable moments for local children and families while reinforcing the importance of riding a bicycle that is properly sized for each child.
The 2026 Lids for Kids events highlighted the strength of community collaboration, according to Bryan Waldman, president and personal injury attorney at Sinas Dramis Law Firm. More than 40 nonprofit organizations, public agencies, first responders, health care providers, and community groups offered free activities, educational resources, giveaways, and hands-on experiences for children.
“Sinas Dramis Law Firm’s annual Lids for Kids events are about protecting children and bringing communities together around a simple but important message: wear a helmet every time you ride,” said Waldman. “We are grateful to the many community partners, volunteers, and families who made this year’s events such a tremendous success.”
Waldman is also an avid cyclist and leads Sinas Dramis’ Michigan Bicycle Law program, which is dedicated to improving bicycle safety, educating cyclists about their rights and responsibilities, and advocating for safer roads throughout the state. The program reflects the firm’s longstanding commitment to protecting vulnerable road users and supporting Michigan’s cycling community, Waldman said.
Since 2003, Lids for Kids has outfitted more than 14,000 Michigan children with properly fitted bicycle helmets while connecting families with valuable community resources. The program continues to serve as a cornerstone of Sinas Dramis’ commitment to injury prevention, education, and community service.
“As the 2026 season concludes, Sinas Dramis Law Firm looks forward to continuing the Lids for Kids tradition and helping even more children ride safely in the years ahead.,” said a spokesperson for the firm. “Mark your calendar for the 2027 events: May 22 in Lansing and June 5 in Grand Rapids.”
