The USS Silversides Sub-marine Museum, with a World War II?submarine and a two-story museum and a gift store, is open for summer hours through October 31, from 10 a.m., to 5 p.m., 7 days a week. The museum is located is at 1346 Bluff St.

‘Music of the Beach Boys’
Coming In October
Catch the sun-soaked sounds of Endless Summer as the Beach Boys join the West Michigan Symphony for full orchestral arrangements of timeless hits like “Good Vibrations,” “Surfin’ U.S.A.,” “California Girls,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” and more.

‘MMA presents ‘Let’s Picnic: The Knop
Collection of Herman Miller Posters’
Take a step back in time and enjoy the nostalgia of the 1970s; an era with great music, big hair, bell bottoms, and Herman Miller Summer Picnics.
Those company picnics were in need of promotional posters – enter Steve Frykholm. Steve was hired as Herman Miller’s first in-house graphic designer and one of his first assignments was the task of designing these posters.
“Let’s Picnic: The Knop Collection of Herman Miller Posters” is a closer look at Frykholm’s iconic posters that went from a simple work task to a large series that has since made design history.
These 20 posters will be on display at the Muskegon Museum of Art in our Frank E. & Flora M. Johnson Family Print Gallery through September 13.
