Judge Margaret Bakker of the Allegan County Circuit Court administered the Cooley Voluntary Pro Bono Pledge to Thomas M. Cooley Law School students, faculty, staff, alumni and local attorneys Oct. 2. Thirty-five individuals took the pledge at Cooley’s Grand Rapids campus. Those who participated pledged their support of Cooley Law School's commitment to pro bono legal services. The pledge included a commitment to complete at least one pro bono activity during the upcoming year and either continue to do so every year throughout their legal careers or to comply with or exceed the pro bono expectations of their state bar association.
