Kimball appointed to the board of Foundation in Support of the Associaiton for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Mika Meyers Attorney Neil L. Kimball was recently appointed to the Board of the Foundation in Support of the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, which helps individuals living with low vision or blindness thrive in the sighted world.

Funded in 1913, the National association for the Blind and Visually Impaired has a local presence on Cherry Street, and offers assessment services, braille instruction, sale of assistive products, and a range of community outreach and education iniatives.

Kimball specializes in business, estate and gift tax planning, estate planning, probate and real estate law, representing numerous individuals and businesses with their planning and business issues.

Kimball received his bachelor's degree in business administration with distinction from the University of Arizona and his law degree from Arizona State University. He is a member of the estate planning, probate, real property and business and taxation sections of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and the Western Michigan Estate Planning Council.

He chairs the Trusts and Estates Practice Group at Mika Meyers and is a frequent speaker on estate planning, real estate and business issues to attorneys and other professionals. He whas been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America (Trusts and Estates) since 2011, Michigan Super Lawyers since 2007 and in the global legal ranking firm Chambers’ guide about professionals who service high net worth individuals; he was named a 2017 Leader in the Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.

Kimball’s other community involvements include serving on the boards of the Cascade Community Foundation, Camp Blodgett (board president 2009-2010), and Arbor Circle Corporation (chair 2003-2004). He has also served area arts councils.
