NALS of Michigan announces 57th annual meeting and educational conference



NALS of Michigan is excited to announce that its Annual Meeting and Educational Conference will be held on April 27-28, 2018, at the Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire. Legal education sessions and an exhibit hall will be held Friday, April 27. There are three morning and three afternoon presentations. The NALS of Michigan Annual Meeting will be held Saturday, April 28. There are sessions in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Times and speakers are subject to change. The schedule is as follows:

Legal Education Seminar Schedule, April 27:

8:00 a.m.  Keynote – Kim Hafley and Julie Holton “The many faces of marketing and business development in private practice”

9:00 a.m.  Firearm 101 – Dave Bieganowski

10:15 a.m.  Law Enforcement Defense in Civil Rights Actions – Haider Kazim

1:30 p.m. Ethics – John W. Allen

3:15 p.m. Attorney General’s SAKI project – Erin House

4:30 p.m. Leadership – Tara Hughes, PP-SC, ACP, RP and Kathy Sieckman, PP, PLS-SC, ACP

NALS of Michigan Annual Meeting (April 28)

The NALS of Michigan Annual Meeting will be held beginning at 8:30 a.m., with the annual presentation of the Certification Awards at the noon luncheon. There is an afternoon session followed by an evening Awards Banquet with the presentation of Legal Professional of Year Award and the installation of the officers elected and appointed at the daytime sessions.

Shanty Creek Resort is located in Bellaire, Mich. The cost is $145 for NALS Members, $195 for non-members. Costs vary depending on number of days, sessions and meals attended.
