The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library hosted “How to Represent Yourself in Small Claims Court” on Wednesday, June 20. Among those taking part were (left l-r) Laura Mancini, director of Library Services at the Adams-Pratt Law Library; Kelly Bidleman, managing attorney for the Oakland and Macomb Staff Offices of Legal Aid and Defender Association Inc.; and Camelia Ureche, general manager of the Oakland County Mediation Center. The workshop was sponsored by Legal Aid and Defender Association Inc. and was open to the public. Bidleman discussed the Small Claims Court process in the state of Michigan while Ureche spoke about mediation options.
