KEEGO HARBOR (AP) — Two Michigan cities have approved marijuana decriminalization proposals.
The Oakland Press, The Detroit News and WWJ-AM report the measure in Oakland County’s Keego Harbor was passed last Tuesday by a vote of 260-210.
It allows for the use, possession or transfer of up to one ounce of marijuana for people at 21 years old on private property.
The Kalamazoo Gazette and WOOD-TV report a similar measure in the southwestern Michigan city of Portage has been approved by 139 votes.
Voters in the Kalamazoo-area community passed the amendment 5,500-5,361.
