The American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law will hold its 11th International Cartel Workshop in Tokyo, Japan, Feb. 3-5. It is the first time the biennial conference is being held in Asia, where many of the companies recently punished for antitrust violations are based.
Recognized globally as the premier international cartel conference, this 11th workshop will feature a faculty of more than 75 highly experienced attorneys and enforcers from around the world as they take the audience through a hypothetical international cartel matter by presenting more than 28 different real-world scenarios, ranging from discovery of the illegal conduct and planning multi-jurisdictional enforcement strategies to dispositions of enforcement and private actions.
The three-day program will include top enforcers from the United States, European Union, Japan, China, Canada, Australia and Brazil. The workshop will also focus on new developments, including the value of compliance programs in negotiating a resolution to an investigation and how enforcers consider compliance in deciding appropriate penalties.
