First Year Competition
MSU Law1
First year students from Michigan State University College of Law recently completed their Research, Writing and Advocacy (RWA) program, which culminated in a class-wide competition. Four finalists presented their oral arguments in MSU Law's Clif and Carolyn Haley Moot Court Room before Judge Terence Berg, United States District court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Judge David McKeague, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and Justice Joan Larsen, Michigan Supreme Court. Philip LeDonne, who took second place for Best Oralist, takes the podium while his partner, Shelby Avery, who took first place, looks on, as do third place winners Katelyn Crysler and Ashley Ross.
