Federal Courts Day will be an all-day event starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse, 231 West Lafayette Blvd. in Detroit.
The Federal Bar Association’s Diversity Committee will be working jointly with the Just the Beginnings Foundation to host area high schoolers.
The aim of the event is to expose children to the legal profession. Featured will be a panel of lawyers and/or judges to talk to the students.
In the afternoon, the students will participate in a mock trial.
