G-A freshman boys basketball team falls to 0-6
The Galesburg-Augusta boys freshman basketball team suffered a 54-24 loss to Watervliet January 18, lowering the teams’ record to 0-6.
Gavin Lock scored a team high 11 points to pace the Rams.
The next action for the freshmen is scheduled for February 1 in a home game against Kalamazoo Christian at 4:15 p.m.
G-A JV girls basketball team falls to Gobles
The Galesburg-Augusta JV girls basketball team dropped to 4-3 following a 33-30 setback to Gobles January 18 at Gobles.
Individual highlights were not available.
The JVs are scheduled to return to action January 30 against Kalamazoo Home School at 5:30 p.m., followed by a home game February 1 against Saugatuck at 5:30 p.m.

G-A wrestling team has two placers at Comstock Tournament
The Galesburg-Augusta wrestling team had two wrestlers place at the Comstock Tournament January 19.
Bradlee Hubbard (190-pound weight class), placed fourth and scored 15 team points and Dominic Corsi (138) placed sixth, scoring five team points.
Hubbard finished 3-2 on the day. He won his opening match by a pin in 29 seconds, lost the quarterfinal match by a pin in 1:21, received a bye, and then won his next two matches by pins in 1:27 and 1:38 respectively. Hubbard then lost in the third place match by a pin in 4:17.
His record stands at 20-17 entering a dual meet January 24.
Corsi posted a 2-3 record at the tournament.
He rebounded from an opening round loss by a pin by pinning his opponent in the second round in 2:33. Corsi then earned a pin in his third match in 41 seconds before dropping his next match by a pin in 4:00. He was then pinned in the fifth place match in 2:50.
Corsi takes a 12-19 record into the next action for G-A January 24.
A scheduled match January 17 against Coloma and Watervliet was postponed to January 31 at G-A High School beginning at 6 p.m.
