In a testament to the strength and dedication of its community, a group of local community members is proud to announce the establishment of the Climax-Scotts Community Schools Foundation (CSCSF). This 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, formed by these passionate local community members, alumni, and parents, is dedicated to securing the long-term success of Climax-Scotts Community Schools and its students.
The CSCSF’s creation coincides with a game-changing partnership and generous donation from the Collver Family Foundation. This collaboration will establish a scholarship program called the “Collver Family Legacy Scholarship” specifically designed to support graduating seniors from Climax-Scotts High School as they pursue further education at colleges, universities, or trade schools.
The C-S foundation will award $40,000 worth of scholarships every year in a combination of (2) and (4) year scholarships. C-S students who qualify and maintain the requirements to hold these scholarships will receive these funds annually for each year of their post C-S education, up to 4 years.
“The Climax-Scotts community has always been a close-knit one, deeply invested in the future of its students,” said Steve Wurtzel, director of CSCSF. “The creation of the CSCSF and the Collver Family Foundation’s scholarship program showcase this commitment in a powerful way. The Collver family continues to make a difference in this community and in our schools and we are incredibly grateful for their support and excited to help our students achieve their educational aspirations after they leave C-S.”
