Members of C-S-M Co-op team compete
at Nuway Nationals Dual Team Finals

One of the first things Climax-Scotts wrestling coach Mike Reitz emphasized to his team following the Climax-Scotts-Martin co-op wrestling teams’ loss to St. Louis in the quarterfinals at the Division 4 State Finals was a need to put in work during the offseason if the team hopes to get past the quarterfinals in the future.

Six members of the co-op team wrestled in the 15 and under Nuway Nationals Dual Team Finals at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids last weekend.

C-S sophomore Malcolm Smith posted a 5-0 record, Martin sophomore Haylen Buell was 5-1, Martin freshman Seth Toris and C-S junior Logan Gilbert were 4-1, C-S junior Jackson Bagwell was 4-2 and C-S sophomore Cole Reitz was 2-4.

The team Toris and Smith wrestled on placed first at the competition.
